Are nature schools safe for my child?

This philosophy, known as full inclusion, represents a commitment to creating schools and classrooms in which all children are educated together without regard to individual needs or disabilities. We believe inclusive classrooms in honor to respond to the many kinds of diversity that children bring to the classroom.
Student-centered Design encourages classes based on ability and design, not age. For classes where ability can differ widely such as reading, writing and math, students are placed in groups based on their abilities and complete sessions together. We encourage all of our kids to tutor students of lower ability regardless of age.

How do nature schools handle bad weather?

There's a Norwegian saying that there is no such thing as bad weather, only poorly dressed. Empathy school is situated around the equator So it's not normally extremely cold or extremely hot , it's always very comfortable. However sometimes there can be a lot of rain.
Under the case of a small amount of rain campus goes on regular classes as normal, and it has not proven a problem. Under the case of intense rain with no lightning. Which happens a few times a year. We will pause classes to go enjoy a giant mud party.

Will my child miss out on modern education in a green school?

Studies show that kids can learn math more tangibly from nature, they can learn about things that excite them, for English and science, kids learn better in nature and they learn more adaptability as well.  We don't give tablets, laptops or other devices to kindergartens or primary students at empathy school because the studies are very clear.

That under the vast majority of cases, these devices do not lead to more learning but instead slowdown learning at this level, we are a science-based school. We follow what science shows work and does not work. We do not simply do things because they are trending at the moment.

How do green schools impact a child's mental health?

The mental health and psychological safety of a child is the utmost important for the development of that child, if a child is not psychologically safe, they are not learning. If they do not have the skills to be resilient, they do not have the skills to understand their own fears and goals. And they don't have the skills to understand others.
They will not thrive in this world. We do believe that mental health is absolutely essential for the development of a child. This is done through not only teaching, social emotional skills, but also, in establishing systems in place to identify any mental health issues. So that Our wellness team can directly support students.

Empathy school kids range from age 2 to 14. We support them in kindergarten primary and middle school through their standard academics. On top of that, they have activities in nature including nature science and jungle adventures. We also focus heavily on social-emotional learning teaching kids the skills that they will need to lead in the future.

To help kids develop further leadership skills and to sharpen their academic understanding, Kids undergo project based learning activities on a daily basis. Working through projects that constantly challenge them.

What are the costs of going green for a school?

Building a nature school That Embraces The true philosophy of the green movement Is difficult. At empathy school we do not use any forms of pesticide. So that means any kind of insect control must be done by natural means which is More difficult. And more human labor intensive. on top of that None of our bamboo or wood is treated with chemicals and this Means that these materials will not last as long.
We make a trade-off constantly whenever we are deciding However, to make a true green school, we have to embrace nature fully . One of the things that is very meaningful for us is that kids never need to wear shoes on campus. We believe that to be a child and to be in nature is to be barefoot to be free of fear of harming your feet.
