A place to build family life
Ash, from the United States, first toured Empathy School a year and a half before this interview. She recalls that visit as the moment she could imagine building a life in Bali with her two daughters.
When the girls arrived, their teachers helped them connect with the campus through activities such as feeding the bunnies and exploring the trampoline. Ash also remembers a straightforward online enrolment process and helpful staff.
Asked about her favourite part of the school, she returns to the community: the teachers, parents and ease of making connections. Her account centres on the feeling of belonging that grew around her family.

It's the community of teachers. It's the community of parents. I think it's very special and very rare.
