Assistant Teacher

Job Descriptions

  1. Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities that promote the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of students.
  2. Support classroom management by helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  3. Provide individualized attention and support to students as needed, including tutoring and guidance with assignments.
  4. Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and communicate with parents or guardians regarding student performance and behavior.
  5. Help prepare instructional materials and set up learning centers to facilitate hands-on learning experiences.
  6. Assist with classroom organization and maintenance of a safe and clean environment conducive to learning.
  7. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
  8. Actively engage in school camp activities.
  9. Carry out the other ad hoc task which is given by the Employer if needed.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Education or any related field (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
  2. Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  3. Previous experience working with children in a classroom setting is desirable.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  5. Embrace an open mind and thrive on continuous learning.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons based on the school's curriculum and educational standards.
  2. Teach students of all ages and skill levels in various musical concepts, including rhythm, melody, harmony, and performance techniques.
  3. Incorporate elements of environmental stewardship and sustainability into music lessons, highlighting the interconnectedness between music and the natural world.
  4. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects and outdoor education experiences.
  5. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to express themselves through music and develop confidence in their abilities.
  6. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth as musicians and individuals.
